Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live in a village in Bangladesh? The soul of Bangladesh can be found in its villages, which are known for their calmness, order, and peace. While there are activities happening in fields, homes, schools, mosques, and temples, the pace of life here is different from that in the cities. In fact, three-quarters of the population lives in rural areas, primarily relying on agriculture and fishing for their daily income.
A village homestay offers a deep insight into the life of the rural community. While sharing their hospitality, you are welcome to join their daily work in and around the house or in the fields. You can also visit the local school, river, and lakes, and try your luck at catching fish from the pond. Your host will facilitate communication with the villagers, making your stay even more enjoyable.
We arrange various specialty guided tours to visit ancient ruins, localities, farms, rivers, and small hills. The available activities and workshops allow you to do as much or as little as you are in the mood for.
Local cuisine is indeed a highlight of our Village Homestay programs! Your meals will be a genuine feast of delicious Bangladeshi curries and fresh vegetable platters. We offer you the opportunity to join in the preparation of your meals and have a lesson in Bangladeshi cooking in a traditional setting.
